Deal: Save 85% on roaming charges with OneSimCard

If you’ve made big travel plans for 2019 then today’s deal might interest you. OneSimCard is the affordable way to make calls and use data abroad.

Some providers charge huge roaming fees when you decide to leave the country. One alternative is to buy a local SIM, but this is fraught with problems too. You need to work out where to get one and how to top it up. Plus, calls from home to that SIM are going to be equally pricey.

OneSimCard is a new way. When you’re jetting off, just slip it in any GSM unlocked phone, and you can enjoy coverage for voice, text, and mobile data in more than 200 countries.

With OneSimCard, incoming calls and SMS messages are free in 162 countries. Outgoing calls are as low as $0.25 per minute, and mobile data service in over 130 countries is as low as $0.03 per MB. You also get a U.S. and European number, and there’s 24/7 tech support if you need any help.

TCL announces its first sets of headphones and soundbars

TCL

Chinese manufacturer TCL is going all-out at CES 2019 with four new lines of headphones and two new soundbars. These are the first TCL-branded headphones and soundbars.

Starting with the headphones, the four new product lines are SOCL, MTRO, ACTV, and ELIT. The SOCL line includes six options: three wired earbuds and three Bluetooth variants. The MTRO line consists of a pair of earbuds and a pair of over-the-ear headphones.

As the name suggests, the ACTV line is for those who go to the gym and exercise. To that end, the ACTV line features wired and Bluetooth versions of the ACTV100. The headphones feature a hook design that wraps around your ears to prevent fall-outs during workouts.

Finally, the ELIT line is for those who emphasize sound quality. The three headphones that comprise the ELIT line feature Hi-Res audio, in-line controls, and TCL’s Comfort Fit earcaps.

TCL’s wired headphones will be available starting February 1, while the wireless options will ship by the summer. No word on pricing for the headphones, though we might learn more during CES 2019.

In addition to headphones, TCL also announced two soundbars: the Alto 5 and 7.

Both soundbars feature three listening modes and Bluetooth for wireless streaming. They also feature IR pass-through cables, wall-mounting kits, and “Plus” versions that include wireless subwoofers.

Consider the size of your TV before you take out your card. The Alto 5 is 31.5 inches wide and is meant for TVs 43 inches or larger. Meanwhile, the Alto 7 is 36 inches wide and meant for TVs 55 inches or larger.

TCL will launch the soundbars sometime during the spring. There’s no word yet on pricing.
