Price drop! Save 94% on AWS certification training

AWS Certification Training BundleAmazon Web Services is absolutely vast. It powers huge portions of the internet, including organizations from Airbnb to the U.K. Ministry of Justice. Even Netflix — ironically, a direct competitor of Amazon — is largely stored and streamed through AWS servers.

Put simply, AWS is the world’s largest and most important cloud services platform. Being one of the techies who operate and maintain it is a great gig, too. If you have recognized AWS certification, then you can command a very hefty salary indeed.

If you want to get trained for the certifications, your timing couldn’t be better. The Amazon Web Services Certification Training Mega Bundle is on offer right now. The 50+ hours of online video training is available 24/7 so you can take it at your own pace, and each of the eight learning kits includes a certification of completion.

The AWS Certification Bundle:

AWS Certification Training Bundle

The courses cover everything from navigating the AWS Management Console to AWS Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, and much more. As technical as it all sounds, no prior knowledge is assumed, so anyone can give it a go. You’ll get the hang of the jargon pretty quickly, and you’ll be introducing clients to the cost savings and scalability of AWS before you know it.

The mega bundle has been massively price-dropped recently, so right now it’s just $69. These learning kits originally retailed for almost $1,300, so these lifetime subscriptions are going like hotcakes. Almost 1,500 people have already signed up, and you still have time to join them.

The deal ends in a few days, so don’t miss your chance. Hit the button below to find it.

Deal: Here are 4 learning kits to seriously step up your Excel level

The Ultimate Excel Bootcamp Bundle

Microsoft Excel is arguably one of the most important and widely-used programs in the business world. Indeed, proficiency in Excel is often a make-or-break issue in job interviews.

Most of our readers can probably whip up a pie chart or two if they need to. However, the real Excel wizards are able to unlock the full capabilities of this powerful program and manipulate data like Dr. Manhattan toying with molecules.

If you want to reach that level, then you could ‘trial and error’ every step using Google searches as your guide, but it’s not the most productive option. If you want to achieve advanced Excel status more efficiently, the fastest way to do it is through online classes.

Excel with Business has bundled together four of their most popular courses.

These classes tend to be expensive, but not today. Excel with Business has bundled together four of their most popular courses. They have been made available as part of a bootcamp package for just $39.

The bundle includes an up-to-date version of their first learning kit, simply entitled ‘Microsoft Excel‘, which quickly gained over 100,000 students upon its initial launch. Those students paid $345 just for that, but you get three additional courses as part of the bundle. The Ultimate Excel Bootcamp Bundle

A quick ‘SUM’ function shows that you’d be paying $1,380 if you were buying each of these individually. However, if you sign up while the package is on offer for $39, you can get all of them for 97 percent off.

If you’re interested in upping your Excel game, click the button below to see the full details of each of these learning kits.

Lenovo introduces an Android Go tablet as well as a tablet running…Nougat?

An official image of the Lenovo Tab E8.

  • Lenovo just launched five new tablets running the gamut from mid-range professional to ultra-budget.
  • Three of the tablets run Android Oreo, one runs Android Go, and one surprisingly is launching with Android Nougat.
  • The tablets are priced starting at $70, although the pricing for the two most expensive tablets is currently unavailable.

The tablet market has been a bit stagnant for a while, but in the past few months, we’ve seen a pick up in tablet releases from manufacturers like Samsung and Huawei. Now we can add Lenovo to the mix as it just announced a whopping five different tablets.

The tablets run the gamut from ultra-budget to mid-range professional. We have pricing and availability on some of the cheaper models but are still waiting on info on the two most expensive units.

One of the tablets actually runs Android Go Oreo, which is noteworthy because there aren’t many tablets running the ultra-small version of the Android operating system. And another of the tablets actually launches with the two-years-old Android Nougat, which is noteworthy because come on: how many devices launched with Nougat in 2018?

Lenovo Tab E7, E8, and E10

An official image of the Lenovo Tab E7.

The three cheapest models announced today are in the E line. The Lenovo Tab E7, pictured above, runs Android Go Oreo and has a MediaTek MT8167 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot with support for up to 128GB of extra flash memory. It’s powered by a 2,750mAh battery and also includes dual-SIM support, a headphone jack, and a 7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,024 x 600. The rear camera is a paltry 2MP, and the front camera is a crazy-small 0.3MP — which we haven’t seen since the flip phone days.

Editor’s Pick

The Lenovo Tab E8 runs on the same internals as the E7 but upgrades the resolution to 1,280 x 800 and gives a boost in battery power to 4,850mAh (and is obviously an 8-inch tablet instead of a 7-incher). But the craziest thing about the Lenovo Tab E8 is that it ships with Android Nougat, and isn’t likely to ever get an upgrade to Oreo (and certainly not Pie).

Finally, the Lenovo Tab E10 (a 10-inch model, naturally) deviates from the E8 and E7 by offering some upgraded internals. It’s running Android Go Oreo and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, 1GB or 2GB of RAM (depending on the price), 16GB of internal storage, and a resolution of 1,280 x 800. On the back, you’ll find a 5MP camera and you’ll get a 2MP front sensor. The 4,850mAh battery powers it all and there’s a microSD slot for adding up to 128GB of additional storage. There’s also a headphone jack.

Here are the prices for the above models:

  • Lenovo Tab E7 — will launch in October for $70 exclusively at Walmart.
  • Lenovo Tab E8 — available now in select Walmart stores for $100.
  • Lenovo Tab E10 — will launch in October for $130 at Walmart and other retailers.

Lenovo Tab P10 and M10

An official image of two hands holding a Lenovo Tab P10.

Editor’s Pick

The Lenovo Tab P10 (pictured above) is the highest end tablet of the five announced today, but don’t get too excited: it’s still a mid-range unit that won’t be super impressive in the specs department. The P10 runs Android 8.0 Oreo on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The display is a 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. On the back, you’ll find an 8MP shooter paired with a 5MP camera on the front. You’ll also find a microSD slot that supports up to 256GB of additional storage, a single nano-SIM card slot enabling 4G LTE (GSM band only), a headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Everything is powered by a 7,000mAh battery.

The Lenovo Tab M10 features similar specs as the P10, however with some caveats. There’s a higher resolution (1,920 x 1,200) but a smaller battery (4,850mAh). There’s only 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the camera setup is only 5MP/2MP. Other than that, the devices are similar as far as specs go.

We don’t yet know pricing or availability for the Tab P10 and Tab M10, although it’s likely they will launch in October with some of the cheaper models listed above.

It’s clear that Lenovo is focusing on the budget market for tablet sales. What do you think? Do any of these catch your eye? Let us know in the comments!

Thought Helio P60 was a great chip? Helio P80, P90 tipped for release

The MediaTek logo as seen at Mobile World Congress 2018.

  • MediaTek is working on the Helio P80 and P90 chipsets, according to journalist Roland Quandt.
  • It’s believed that Oppo will be one of the first customers for the unannounced SoCs.
  • The naming convention suggests the Helio P80 and P90 will succeed the Helio P60.

The MediaTek Helio P60 chipset has probably been one of the surprise hits of the year, bringing a relatively powerful CPU and dedicated AI silicon to the mid-range market. Now, it looks like the mobile chip company could be gearing up for two processors to out-perform the P60.

According to WinFuture journalist Roland Quandt, MediaTek is working on Helio P80 and Helio P90 chipsets. Quandt adds that Oppo is expected to be one of the first customers for the new processors — they were one of the first customers for the Helio P60 after all.

Based on the naming convention, we can assume that these chips — if they indeed exist — will succeed the Helio P60. So what kind of upgrades should we expect?

What would Helio P80, P90 offer?

Mediatek Helio chipset

For starters, a switch to newer Arm CPU cores seems like a logical move, switching out the P60’s legacy Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53 cores for the new Cortex-A75/A76 and Cortex-A55. Another question is whether MediaTek would maintain the existing 4+4 arrangement (four heavy cores and four light cores) or if it would pull a Snapdragon 710 and use two heavy cores and six lightweight cores instead. Then again, the company might use different CPU core arrangements for each chipset.

We’d also expect the Taiwanese company to either retain the Helio P60’s AI processing unit (APU) or deliver an upgraded APU. After all, one of the P60’s biggest selling points was the inclusion of AI silicon, so it seems likely that any successors would retain this capability.

Editor’s Pick

The Helio P60 also stood out in the GPU department (at least compared to Samsung’s similarly equipped Exynos 7885), offering a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. A move to add more cores or switch to Arm’s latest Mali-G76 GPU seems like an expected step for a P60 successor.

Then again, there’s every chance that the Helio P80 and P90 don’t actually exist or are a long way off. After all, we previously saw reports of the Helio P70 in the lead up to the P60’s release, but nothing has materialized yet.

This latest news also makes us wonder whether MediaTek is continuing to take a break from flagship silicon. The company decided against releasing a flagship X-series processor thus far, following the disappointing sales performance of its Helio X30 last year. Still, if it means we get AI silicon and other premium features in budget phones, I won’t complain.

Spotify giving away more music, hoping you’ll pay for Premium

  • Spotify is giving free tier members access to more songs in its massive catalog.
  • The hope is that this new Spotify free update will bring more users to the service, and turn those users into paying customers.
  • Spotify is now a public company, so it has to increase its revenue to appease shareholders.

Now that Spotify is officially a public company, it has to continually make more money year-over-year to appease shareholders. As of now, the best way for the company to make more money is to get more people to subscribe to its paid service, Spotify Premium.

The company’s strategy, according to Recode, is to give away more of its music catalog for free, starting today. Spotify hopes that by making the free tier of service the best choice for music listeners, it will be easier to turn those listeners into paying customers.

As of now, anyone can create an account with Spotify and listen to free music as much as they like. The caveats are that mobile users’ listening experiences will be interrupted periodically with advertisements; be limited to specific songs via pre-programmed playlists; and be limited to only six track-skips per hour.

Editor’s Pick

Desktop users have on-demand access to every song in the Spotify catalog with no skip-limits but have to deal with ads. The ability to listen to the entire Spotify catalog on-demand with no ads and no skip limits on both desktop and mobile is reserved for Premier members.

But starting today, Spotify members utilizing its free service on mobile devices will get the ability to select more songs on-demand from 15 playlists. There will still be ads, and there will still be a skip-limit, but your library access will have a broader reach. Desktop free tier users will see no change in service.

Premier membership currently costs $9.99 per month for a single user or $14.99 for a family of up to five people who all live at the same address.

Eventually, Spotify might be able to increase its revenue by introducing its own hardware. We got a glimpse of what the company might have in store when an ad for an in-car device appeared in some Spotify apps, and then promptly disappeared. The rumor is that Spotify could announce that device today.
