Build powerful apps on the Universal Windows Platform

Universal Windows Platform

It seems everyone is off building Android or iOS apps, but Windows shouldn’t be overlooked. Not only does it span any number of mobile and gaming devices — smartphones, Xbox One, Surface, etc — it also powers a vast number of business and personal computers throughout the world.

App building for Windows has its own language and platform, so specialist training is required to learn. You can get over 45 hours of premium instruction in this field from the comfort of your own home with the Microsoft Universal Windows Platform Expert Bundle. We’re spotlighting it today because of a massive temporary reduction in the signup fee.

The Universal Windows Platform lets you build apps for any Windows device and publish them to the Microsoft Store. It lets you use state-of-the-art features to create apps that are personal and intuitive. Given the number of companies worldwide run on Microsoft infrastructure, it’s also a very marketable skill.

Use state-of-the-art features to create apps that are personal and intuitive.

In this hands-on bundle comprising 10 courses, you’ll be guided through using PowerShell: the programming language used in developing windows apps. Building apps yourself is the best way to learn, and your instruction is often driven by making real-world applications.

There are a number of ways you can monetize your apps once they’re ready. A paid download is the simplest option, or you can let users try before buying with a free trial. There’s also in-app purchases or advertising revenue. The common thread is a pleasingly passive income.

Given the vast amount of specialist training within, the list price of $3,300 isn’t so crazy. However, right now it’s available for only $39. Opportunity knocks.

This deal only lasts a few days, so if you’re ready to become an expert in this lucrative field hit the button below.

The AAPicks team writes about things we think you’ll like, and we may see a share of revenue from any purchases made through affiliate links. To see all our hottest deals, head over to the AAPICKS HUB.

This week in Android: Pixel 3 review, Huawei Mate 20 hands-on, and more!

It’s been a week full of new phones, new reviews, and new accessories — but then again it’s #Phonepocalypse. We wrapped up our full review of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL. It’s one heck of a set of phones. They won’t be for everyone, for sure. Be sure to read the full to find out if either is right for you.

If you are looking for the best of the best in terms of specs, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro might be what you’re looking for. We’re going to wait for our full review to decide for sure, but on paper, this phone is pretty cherry. The triple-camera setup looks to be every bit as good as the Huawei P20 Pro, which we have reviewed a few months ago (TL;DR: it’s awesome). There’s an in-screen fingerprint reader and full facial recognition, too. If the Mate 20 Pro is a bit too much for you, you can check out the teardrop notch and headphone jack one the regular Mate 20 or the gaming behemoth that is the Mate 20 X.

Speaking of gaming, we saw the U.S. release of the Asus ROG phone, but that’s where the fun and games end. Essential had to say goodbye to a third of its staff, a rumor may be teasing OnePlus 6T compatibility with Verizon, and we reviewed Google’s best accessory ever. Check it out below!
